| BAREFOOT BOWLS |
We offer barefoot bowls* sessions
to the general public and any interested groups. These sessions are
particularly appealing to social or family groups who want to have
fun with a cheap day out on the bowling green.
The dress code is as relaxed as the atmosphere and you don't
need a lot of experience to have fun with the game.
We provide free basic bowls coaching and the use of bowls. We also
provide bar service and make available our BBQ for your use as well
as our kitchen facilities. All drinks must be purchased through our
bar and you need to provide your own food.
For a small charge of $10 per person you can enjoy playing barefoot
bowls on our beautiful greens. The minimum size of groups for these
activities is 20 bowlers.

| QUICK TIPS FOR BEGINNER BOWLERS
|
- The larger black ball is called a bowl. The small white ball is
the jack.
- They are usually supplied by the club for casual players.
- The aim of the game is to get your bowl as close to the jack as
possible.
- Bowls are weighted so that they don't roll in a straight line, but in a
curve.
- Each bowl has a small and large icon on each side.
- Always keep the small icon on the inside of your delivery.
- You will play on a green (of very short grass) which is divided into
rinks.
- There is a ditch on the outside of the green to catch badly delivered
bowls.
- You bowl from alternate ends, usually standing on a mat, which is
supplied.

| Smoking Areas |
|
Please note there are 2 designated smoking areas ONLY. The
barbeque end of the balcony from the end rail to the nearest
clubroom doorway and the paved area in front of the back
double wire gates. Cigarette butts or falling ash can burn holes
in any synthetic surface or singe/kill the grass. The
club's non-smoking policy falls with the guidelines of
Bowls Victoria. |
