| Forty-40 Bowls |

| Forty/40 is an new exciting fast paced format
of bowls which incorporates 2 sets of 6 ends of triples; each set
taking around 40 minutes each. Forty/40 has also seen an
introduction of power-plays to bowls and rotation of positions
within each Triple.

The Eltham Bowling Club (EBC) is attempting to get a local
forty/40
competition up and running.

| Time back |
| The Forty/40 Competition will be held on a
Friday between 6.00 pm and 7.30 pm on 6 consecutive Friday evenings.
The first listed date for each Competition (7.10.11 and 2.2.12)
will be "Introductory Sessions" for new teams but will primarily be
a practice session for returning teams.
A free BBQ for all participants will be held on both the 7.10.11
and 2.2.12. An optional light meal will be provided at 5.30 pm
on each of the 6 competition nights. The bar will be open for drinks
from 5.30 pm.

| The dates for Forty-40 bowls during daylight
savings period 2011/12 are:
COMPETITION 1 (2011)
October 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th and November 11th, 18th, 25th.
COMPETITION 2 (2012)February 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and
March 2nd, 9th, 16th.

introductory/practice session."

Who can create a Team:
- The General Public
- Members of other Bowling Clubs,
- Eltham Members their Families and/or Friends
*
- New members, (less than 12 months) having played little or no
bowls can be part of a team.
*Teams
that entered the Forty/40 Competition in 2010/11 are being given the
opportunity to enter Competitions 1 and 2 in 2011/12 before other
teams can enter.
NoteTeams that include an experienced bowler
or Pennant playing member will be handicapped. Only one experienced/
pennant bowler is allowed to bowl in each team on a given night.

| Cost
back |
| Cost is $10 per player per night for the 6 week
Competition (nothing for the introductory night).

| Bowls Victoria Registration Fee
back |
| As the Bowls Victoria Registration Fee is an
annual fee, bowlers playing in both Competition 1 and Competition 2
only need to pay this fee once. Eltham Bowling Club members (and
members of other Bowling Clubs) are already affiliated with Bowls
Victoria and so do not need to pay the registration fee.

| Prize Money

| Total prize money for the 6 week Competition
will be in excess of $1,000; subject to 14 teams entering the
Competition (pro-rata if we get less than 10 teams the prize money
decreases, more prize money if we get more teams).
