JUST GONE – Stevenson’s Rockets Jazz Band
Another one of our old favourite groups is coming to the Bowls Club for this month’s show.
The Rockets have been to JBTG a few times over the years now and is a very popular, very entertaining live trad jazz group.

One of the most exciting groups in the Melbourne jazz scene, The Rockets play a diverse repertoire of jazz tunes and songs especially from the 20’s and 30’s. In particular, the group loves songs written by the great composers; Gershwin, Berlin, Carmichael, Porter, Kern, and Rogers and Hart, But also all the hot classic jazz tunes.
The Rockets are led by Jo Stevenson on clarinet and all the saxaphones, Jeff Arthur (guitar/banjo), Cal Duffy (drums), melodic bass player Chris Ludowyck, drummer Ian Smith, who also plays trumpet, bass, washboard and reeds. Jeff and Cal are replacing an absent Steve Grant.
